Twitter Adds Native Image Uploading

August 12th, 2011

Twitter-native-uploading.jpgAfter a few months of waiting and at
least a year or two worth of speculation, Twitter has finally
launched its own image uploading service. No longer will you have to
go to imgur or one of the other quick photo sharing services online –
you can do it right through Twitter.

Posting a photo is as simple as can be.
Click the photo icon on your new Tweet and select the photo you want
to use. Your photo will then appear as a link. If you click on the
particular tweet, you’ll see the photo in the pane on the right hand
side. You’re limited to 3MB or less. Exif data is wiped from the
image when it is uploaded.

Twitter is rolling this update out over
a few weeks, so you may not immediately see the feature available,
but it’ll be there.
