The best bag deals from the best after-Christmas sales, all in one place

Botkier Eden Satchel, now $394 via Nordstrom

Sorting through the miasma of after-Christmas sales is difficult, no matter whether you’re trying to do it in person or via the Internet while you’re supposed to be working. (It’s your boss’s own fault for not giving you an extra day off.) That’s where your friendly neighborhood bloggers come in – I spent yesterday wading through the debris of the holiday season to find you the best deals on the bags that you might actually want to buy and carry.

This season’s sales are particularly heavy on contemporary bags, so if you’re looking for a new accessory under $500, you’re in luck. We have a few from premier designers as well (including a Balenciaga that I love), but this is the time of year to really score on the lower end of the designer price spectrum. Check out all of our picks after the jump!

The Alexander Wang Raphael Crossbody Bag was on my personal wishlist for Christmas in bright red, but this pale alternative can be had right now for several hundred dollars less. Was $680, now $476 via ShopBop.

The Marc by Marc Jacobs Pretty Nylon Eliz-a-baby Bag might technically be for new moms, but the useful shape and Christopher Kane-esque print would make it a no-brainer for teenagers and college students as a school bag. Was $288, now $201 via ShopBop.

The Balenciaga Padlock Tote is a beautiful alternative to the Celine Luggage Tote, particularly in grass green. Was $2008, now $1405 via Matches.

The Kate Spade Cha Cha Chocolate Hazel Clutch is just the thing to put some quirk in your New Year’s Eve outfit. If you hurry, you can have it shipped just in time. Was $295, now $146 via Nordstrom.

The 3.1 Phillip Lim Lynus Camera Bag in beautiful blue would make a great weekend option for someone who likes to stay hands-free. Was $675, now $236 via Saks.

The Botkier Eden Satchel in bright rubberized leather has been selling out so many places that I’m frankly surprised anyone was able to keep it around long enough to mark it down. Was $595, now $394 via Nordstrom.

Raoul isn’t a household name in the US (YET.), but the Raoul Kim Bag is a sophisticated, modern choice at a stellar price. Was $228, now $114 via Matches.

Fur bags aren’t my favorite, but the Marc by Marc Jacobs Party Rat Regine is easily one of the best that I’ve seen. Was $398, now $278 via ShopBop.

Nina Ricci’s soft, feminine bags have always been covetable, but options like the Nina Ricci Patchwork Bag are much more palatable at a much-reduced price point. Was $1900, now $759 via Barneys.

There’s something I absolutely love about the color combination on the Diane von Furstenberg Harri Snakeskin Clutch. Was $341, now $239 via Matches.

If you like the oversized accents on the Burberry Tassel Bowler, don’t be disappointed by Neiman Marcus’s disappointing discount; the retailer is currently knocking an extra 25% off the marked price on checkout. Was $2195, now $1975 via Neiman Marcus.

I left the Alexander Wang Mirrored Adriel Clutch for last because it’s the one that I actually might buy; in person, this bag is the perfect size and so delightfully modern. Was $475, now $165 via Saks.
