To inaugurate the newly launched My
PhotoExhibits website, Tamron launched a contest that they called
My Travel Photography. The goal was to create the best virtual
exhibit of travel photos with a chance to win, among other things, a
two-page spread in American Photo magazine.
The winner of the contest is Lois
Settlemeyer of Camas, Washington. She put up twelve images of the
Antelope Canyon in Arizona, which earned her the two-page spread as
well as a Tamron 18-270mm Di II VC PZD all-in-one zoom lens.
Tamron says that the contest was an
undisputed success, bringing in hundreds of contestants who created
free photo galleries on the site. The winning gallery was picked by
American Photo editor Scott Alexander.
Check out the winning gallery on My
PhotoExhibits.
