Most of the time when companies are giving out swag at an event it’s something no one really wants or needs. They’ll hand out T-shirts with their logos emblazoned across them, or 256MB USB drives full of product pictures. Every once in a while, there’s something really cool.

Canon has just wrapped up what they’re calling a “Decade of Innovation” and it’s easy to see why. In the year of 2009 alone they were granted 2,204 new patents for products and devices that they’d developed. This makes the tenth consecutive year that Canon has been in the top five corporate patent recipients.
