Lexar Launches a 1000x CF Card

January 10th, 2012

Lexar-UDMA7-CF.JPGThe folks at Lexar have launched a new
card that’s made for those that demand speed above all else. It’s a
1000x CF card that’s capable of reading at 150MB per second and can
capture video streams at 20MB a second.

“With a significant performance
upgrade and VPG-20 support, I can spend more time behind the camera
and less time waiting for footage to transfer,” says
photographer Ryan Buono. “Lexar has always understood how
professionals shoot, manage, and edit their captured content,
offering the tools and technologies to make the job faster and more
efficient. The Professional 1000x CF card will help ensure that a
memory card is never the bottleneck in the creative process.”

Lexar adds that the new cards pack
Image Rescue, which allows you to retrieve your lost photos or files even if the data
has been corrupted or erased. You’ll be able to pick up 16GB, 32GB,
64GB and 128GB versions of the card in February.
