Canon USA Lanches Ten New PowerShot Cameras

February 7th, 2012

SX260 HS_Black_01.jpgThat’s right folks, Canon has just announced ten new cameras today. They’ve added new models to several of their popular lines, with the brunt of the announcement surrounding six new affordable A-series cameras; the A810, A1300, A2300, A2400 IS, A3400 IS, and A4000 IS. For those who love Canon’s ELPH series, you’ll be happy to know that two new models will join the line; the PowerShot ELPH 320 HS and PowerShot 530 HS. The 530 HS boasts similar specs to the 520 HS that was announced during CES 2012, however with a few improvements like built-in Wi-Fi and a 3.2″ touch screen LCD. The 320 also boasts built-in Wi-Fi, making the pair appealing choices for those who love to upload to social site like Facebook and YouTube. The SX-series also received a new flagship model with the PowerShot SX260 HS. It builds upon the SX230, with various upgrades like an all new 20x optical zoom lens; while still maintaining a sleek profile which is a staple in the SX line up.

D20_Blue_Front.jpgPerhaps the most noteworthy of the bunch, at least to me, was the announcement of the PowerShot D20.; which is the long awaited successor to the very popular D10 from 2009. The D20 boasts a unique looking exterior, the Lifeproof features we loved about the D10, and a plethora of features one would expect to find on a 2012 PowerShot camera; like Canon’s HS system, a 12-megapixel sensor, full 1080p HD video, etc.
