Canon Unleashes the Long Awaited Successor to the EOS 5D Mark II

March 2nd, 2012

HR_5D_MARKIII_EF24-105_BGE11_3Q_CL.jpgFinally! Canon has launched the EOS 5D Mark III, and what an announcement. For all of you who have been patiently waiting for Canon to hurry up and release this new model; it’s finally here.

The EOS 5D MK3 boasts some appealing upgrades over its predecessor, many of which it borrows from the recently announced EOS 1D X. While we don’t want to give away all the details away in this news blog, some of these upgrades include a new Canon developed 22.3-megapixel CMOS image sensor, the same 61-point HDR Autofocus system that was launched with the 1D X, burst shooting at up to 6fps at full res, and so much more.
To get all the details on this new power house, check out our EOS 5D Mark III Preview page. We are itching to get our hands on a 5D MK3, so check our Preview page often for updates once we get one in house.
